ABSTRACT
Aim Of The Study: The Purpose Of This Study Was To Compare & To Assess Clinically And Radiographically, The Contact Osteogenesis Between Host Bone & Immediate Implants Placement In Narrow Anterior Region Of The Mandible Following The Use Of Manual Bone Expanders Versus Motorized Ones..
Materials and Methods: Six Patients With 12 Anterior Edentulous Areas With Narrow Ridges. Six Sites Were Subjected To Manual Bone Expanders And Six Sites Were Subjected To Motorized Bone Expanders, All Followed By Immediate Implantation. A CBCT Was Used Preoperatively, Immediate After Surgery And 6 Months Post-operatively For Dimensional And Buccolingual Expansion Analyses..
Results: During The Follow Up Period, All Patients Showed No Post-operative Complications, All The Implants Inserted Showed Successful Osseointegration With No Signs Of Failure. The CBCT Radiograph Showed Proper Contact Between The Bone And The Implant, Also Showed Increase In The Buccolingual Width For Both Groups Immediately Post-expansion And Insertion And Decrease In The Width 6 Months Post-expansion And Insertion.. Conclusion: Manual Bone Expanders Show Better Results In Expansion And Bone Density Than Motorized Bone Expanders Do..
